Liminal Emotions Capstone Project
Liminal Emotions is my capstone project, a visual exploration of emotional states that exist between clear definitions. The project investigates how language shapes our emotional understanding, drawing inspiration from the Sapir Whorf hypothesis and the idea that feelings without clear vocabulary can become difficult to recognize or communicate. For this project, I developed a complete visual identity and body of work centered around these undefined emotional experiences. This included designing a logo and brand system for the project, creating a promotional poster, and producing seven original artworks that visually interpret different emotional states. Each artwork translates abstract feelings into symbolic visual compositions using restrained color, negative space, and subtle visual cues. The final outcome of the project is a fully designed and printed interactive book.
