Country Poster Project - Russia

For this project, I created an 8.5 x 11 inch poster representing Russia, exploring the theme “Strength in Truth. Big Brother.” The design was informed by extensive research into Russia’s history, culture, and national identity. 10 concept sketches were developed before beginning the final poster layout. Key elements such as Russian architecture, folk culture, and symbols of resilience and strength were incorporated to convey the country’s enduring identity and global presence. I researched Russian poster art, particularly Soviet-era and modern Russian movie posters, to understand effective composition, typography, and symbolic imagery used in Russia. This research provided inspiration for my own poster, influencing layout choices, visual motifs, and the use of dramatic contrast and symbolism.
